This course will provide the individual with the practical training needed to perform threading treatments. How to Customize Brow Styles to Different Face Shapes
One of the most important considerations in eyebrow shaping is your client’s face shape. The shape of the brows can help your client’s face to appear thinner, to make the eyes appear larger, and to provide an overall cleaner, more confident look.
Square face shape– A softly rounded brow compliments a square face. A softly rounded brow brings balance to a more square-shaped and angular face.
Round face shape– A round face shape needs some angles for balance. With a round face, you can bring a more oblong balance with highly arched brows.
Long face shape– A long face shape is flattered by an extended brow. Short brows appear even shorter on a long face.
Heart face shape– a heart face shape pairs well with a thinner brow. The thinner brow helps to soften an angled chin and makes the forehead appear larger.
Oval face shape– a slightly arched brow is preferred for the oval face shape. Because the face is already defined, the brows don’t need a strong arch to compliment the facial structure.
How is it different from waxing or tweezing?
There are a couple of reasons threading fans choose to forgo their tweezers and cancel their waxing appointments. The first comes down to precision.
“Threading is very precise and allows our specialists to have greater control over which hairs are removed,” So where waxes remove any swath of hair it comes into contact with, which can sometimes result in harsh lines, threading allows for a more natural look.

The hair factor is, of course, vital to hair removal, another area where threading stands out is its effects on the skin—or rather, the lack thereof.
Threading “doesn’t pull or nick the skin like waxing or tweezing can,” You see, waxes typically involve heat as well as chemicals (natural or synthetic) that can cause some skin types to break out and the removal process can sometimes damage skin, leading to redness and peeling, especially for those using skin treatments like retinol. Not exactly what most of us hope for when we get our brows done.
While tweezing is generally less damaging for skin than waxing, accidentally poking, scraping, or pulling on skin with a pair of tweezers (especially an unsterilized pair that’s been sitting in your medicine cabinet) can lead to breaks in the skin and even infections. Since threading is performed with soft fibers at the surface level, it won’t accidentally grip the edge of a follicle or scratch skin.
